Festival Overview
The Charleston International Festival of Choirs invites vocal ensembles from across the United States, Canada and Europe to this quintessential Southern city in South Carolina to perform music specific to their diverse backgrounds. The residents in Charleston will, in turn, offer their hospitality and their deep appreciation for the choral tradition. Over the course of three days in April of 2011, choirs will perform individual concerts in stunning venues, enjoy a workshop and rehearsals with Dr. Jeffery L. Ames for a Massed Sing performance on Saturday Night and discover the incredible sights and monuments native to this historic city.
